Computer Engineer

Bio: My name is Michael Aque and I’ll soon be graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in May. After our tour there, we relocated to Italy where I finished up high school. I decided to come back to San Diego for college because I’ve always considered this city my home.I’m currently working at my second internship at SPAWAR Systems Center in Point Loma where I provide support in the field of cyber warfare and information assurance. After graduation I hope to find a full time job with a company that’ll provide me with the opportunity through any means of tuition assistance so I can further my education and pursue a Master’s degree.

Rodrigo Flake

Rodrigo Flake
Electrical Engineer

Bio: My name is Rodrigo Flake, and I am working towards a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at SDSU. I was drawn towards engineering as a child while playing with Tinkertoys and Legos. I also used to take apart electronic devices and stare at the little green cities I later learned to be printed circuit boards, which planted the seed for electrical engineering. I have also been heavily involved in R/C hobby, and I launched a forum in 2009, SoCal-RC.com, with a couple of my friends. We organize community events, on road parking lot races, and moderate the forums to bring the R/C community in San Diego together. Lastly, I learned to have a great deal of respect and appreciation for the U.S. Armed Forces because of my dad, a 28 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, who groomed me to be an engineer from a young age. My interests within the electrical engineering field are board level hardware design, RF engineering, antenna design, E&M, and sustainable energy.
